The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is in the process of updating the state water quality standards to incorporate a tiered aquatic life use (TALU) framework for rivers and streams and has posted new information about the changes being considered.  The MPCA is not proposing rules at this time, but is inviting interested parties to review an overview document that explains the expected effect of the TALU changes and pre-proposal draft rule language. These new documents are posted in the “Rulemaking documents” tab on the TALU rulemaking webpage at http://www.pca.state.mn.us.

To access information about a particular rulemaking, visit the Public Rulemaking Docket.
