The May 28th Outdoors section of the Star Tribune included an article highlighting the sucees of our Conservation Leadership Corps program and our participation in the MN DNR R3 grants program. Check the article out here.

“Since 2016, the @minnesotadnr has awarded 67 grants totaling $990,000 to recruit, retain, and reactivate hunters and anglers.”

MNCF was awarded one of those grants for $23,000 to assist in our Conservation Leadersip Corps program. This program helps college students in the natural resource field learn how hunting, fishing, and trapping are a vital management tool in keeping healthy, abundant wildlife populations. Many of them are not exposed to this outdoor lifestyle before these experiences.
