Session 3 of the Conservation Leadership Corps focused on ice fishing and conservation policy. Students met at the Minnesota state capitol and took a tour of the building. The class met with members of the Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council and the LCCMR to discus conservation funding in MN. The group also heard from the conservation director from Sportsman for the Boundary Waters. After leaving the capitol the group headed up to lake Mille Lacs. They spent the night in a sleeper house learning about ice fishing. Holes were drilled and a few fish were caught.
