Conservation Leadership Corps participants met for their second program in Brainerd MN. The weekend focused on trapping and communication in conservation. Students heard from communication professionals who are also involved in conservation efforts. DNR staff attended and spoke about local shallow lake ecology and trapping practices. Todd Roggenkamp, president of the MN Trappers Association, gave a thorough presentation on trapping equipment and techniques. Todd also took the students out to check beaver traps he had set then hosted the class at his home for a skinning demonstration.
