Following a successful Conservation Leadership Corps (CLC) program in October and December 2019 and February 2020, the Minnesota Conservation Federation was excited to lead another group of college students through our program. Students participating in the CLC program have the opportunity to experience hunting, fishing, and trapping activities, many for the first time.

A new group of students were accepted into the fall 2020 CLC class and were prepared to take to the field. Unfortunately COVID-19 had other ideas! Due to concerns for the health of our participants along with restrictions and regulations laid out by the state of Minnesota, Executive Director Brad Gausman, with the support of the MN Conservation Federation board, decided to postpone in-person programming at this time. Students accepted into the 2020 program will be given the first chance to join us in 2021 as conditions permit.

We are excited to continue this valuable program in 2021! Stay tuned for more updates and ways to get involved in introducing new people to the outdoors.
